Jonathan Cooper, a passionate Hazel Crest resident for six years, is running for Village Trustee to bring fresh ideas and a new voice to the community. He chose Hazel Crest for its promising potential and is dedicated to its betterment.

As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Army, Jonathan served with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Following his service in Afghanistan, he earned two associate degrees from Morton College in Political Science and Law Enforcement.

Jonathan retired from the U.S. Army in 2016 after a 12-year military career and returned to education. He is currently pursuing a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History at Governors State University, with minors in:
